"Owners, Protect your investments! Don't let these over-paid criminals DEMAND more money. Week after week these young, dumb and rich athletes drink/drive, hit their wives, crash their cars, kill people, beat up strippers, spend countless amounts on hookers, drugs, guns, etc...You want to pay these careless idiots MORE money to fuel their criminal escapades? NO!!! You bought the teams, it was YOU and YOUR investors who risk every dollar to make your franchise successful...YOU should collect YOUR profit. Don't give in to these rats, especially king rat D.Smith."

"Its a sad, sad day when you have billionaire owners feuding with millionaire players over who gets the lions share of our money. For 21 weeks these owners nickel and dime us for every red cent when we buy their merchandise, buy tickets to the game, spend more money on over priced concessions and drop more money on over priced television packages like NFL Sunday Ticket. The majority of us do this despite the teams we rooting for giving us an inferior product season after season. You have fans of teams like the Lions and Redskins who have to deal with sub par season after sub par season yet they remain loyal through it all. What do we all get in return? A slap in the face. Owners saying we dont matter and we will buy their product no matter the lack of respect they show us. If we really want to send a message to these greedy owners I suggest we somehow organize a self imposed lockout of our own if they miss any football. For every week of football missed we, the fans, dont show up to the same amount of games once they finally get this BS over and done with. The NFL needs us, not the other way around."
-- Bucs - FAN of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Blame the owners more.

"This is getting out of hand. I have spent my hard earned money just to sit back and watch the NFL self-destruct? I WANT FOOTBALL and I will also not spend another dime until this is resolved."
-- Josh - FAN of the Denver Broncos - Blame both equally.

"Do they realize the type of economic issues that this Country is facing right now? Ok. So common sense tells me if the NFL were to lock out for an entire season, things would probably get much worse. But, since the owners and players are getting millions a year, it doesn't matter to them. Also, that kind of the funny part seeing as you won't get paid if there's no football. Stop being selfish, and work something not only for the fans but for the good of the Country."
-- Neil - FAN of the Chicago Bears - Blame both equally.

"For me football is a game, a sport For players football is work, their job You are getting paid to work! Don't try to take advantage of a business man whos investment is making millions. Nobody is forcing you to play football "
-- David - FAN of the Oakland Raiders - Blame the players more.

"I want to use my NEW Broncos season tickets.... "
-- Bryan - FAN of the Denver Broncos - Blame both equally.

"Dear Mr. Goodell, I've been a subscriber of DirecTV since 1997. Until today, I've maintained my DirecTV service for the sole purpose of buying the NFL Sunday Ticket package, despite the ridiculous rise in cost for that service over the years. I've been a fan of the NFL since 1976, the year the Seahawks were added to the league. Today, I called and cancelled my DirecTV service. Until this year I have been a fanatical fan of the NFL and willingly spent money on it. As of right now, I have made a personal commitment to not spend another dime on anything NFL related. As a former fanatical fan, I can't believe how much I don't care anymore. Between the spectacle of greed playing out before us fans with the lockout and the price gouging for all things NFL, the NFL is no longer a source of enjoyment for me. What I see as I watch the drama of this lock-out unfold is two insatiably greedy, out of touch, groups fighting over their respective business interests. I see NO concern for or accountability to the fans. I don't know if you appreciate my perspective and I doubt that you care about one fan's disappointment but I thought you should know that this lock-out has effectively erased my thirty five years of loyalty. Sincerely, Former Fan"

"I implore compromise"
-- Josh - FAN of the Seattle Seahawks - Blame both equally.

"The players should get more money but for God's sake NOT ALL OF IT! The players need to understand that there are other people who work at these stadiums and need these jobs. I think the worst part is that the fans are going to have to pay more and more and more and more because these cunts are greedy. The funny thing is you dont see the fans screaming about how much a beer will cost in the future. You hear "We want Football"."
-- Jesse - FAN of the Houston Texans - Blame the players more.

"Perhaps, this is an oversimplification of facts but are cops, teachers, state, county, fire fighters and union workers' in any different bargaining position than the players? The only thing that separates us, is the dollars. The Mgt. agenda is the same in the Pvt. and public sectors, step back and look @ it tactically. You can't help but observe commonality and intent in approach. Negotiation between two parties should be a respectful collaboration of people that have common interests. Each is equally dependent on the other. It is in both parties best interest to approach it in that fashion. Owners need to be aware this is a player/fan driven league. Hang together players, we're pulling for you. "
-- Tim - FAN of the New York Giants - Blame the players more.

"Owners of any business have no obligation to open their books to their employees. I'm amazed at hw prideful the players are being. Drew Brees was given a 60 million dollar contract after shoulder surgery to play for the Saints. Yet he's griping that he wants more money and that the owners should have to open their books to him. Wow! I have never seen such ingratitude in my life. "
-- Rob - FAN of the New Orleans Saints - Blame the players more.

"They think fans will be fans no matter what. "
-- Jim - Blame both equally.

"Remember the baseball lockout....The NFL will lose many fans over this"
-- Don - Blame both equally.

"Players carrying on with all this anti-trust BS is complete nonsense. The NFL is NOT just any other industry akin to working in a steel mill or at the Ford plant or making beds at a hotel. Carrying on like it is will cause the whole thing to implode around your ears. Then you can go try to get a REAL job with the "swimming pool management" degree you got at Party U. Feel like you're being forced into something you don't agree with by working for the NFL? Here's some news you might not realize, there ARE alternate venues for you to take your "specialized skills". They go by the initials CFL, UFL and AFL. Why don't you go see how much money you can demand on THAT open market. Babies. God grants you the ability to crap solid gold and you have the gall to bitch about it not being shiny enough? Seriously, check yourself. And do yourself a favour group formerly known as the NFLPA; fire that little turd DeMaurice Smith ASAP. He ain't doing you any favours. "
-- Eric "CANHawk" - FAN of the Seattle Seahawks - Blame the players more.

"Obama just frooze my pay for two years so you know I don't give a !@#$%^&* about the owners or players. I'll just find something else to do in the mean time. When ever they do start playing football I'll watch the games on TV but I won't attend any games or buy any new gear."
-- James - FAN of the Oakland Raiders - Blame both equally.

"The over-paid pampered from childhood players not only want more money but also to set the rules on the owners remenber who invested there money to give you clowns the life of reily go get a real job!!!!"
-- Mike - FAN of the Denver Broncos - Blame the players more.

"The owners "OWN" the teams. Whether or not they are making or losing money is irrelevant to me. they invested in the business and hired these guys to PLAY football. I CAN'T "bargain" with my employer. I either like it or I can find another job. And I AM a member of a union! I believe everyone involved here is making money hand over fist, so figure it out already. Think about all the people that work for these organizations, they are being furloughed or laid off completely. I saved money for a year and a half to buy season tickets this year, a year and a half!! And this happens! come on gentlemen, get it together! "
-- Austins23 - FAN of the Houston Texans - Blame the players more.

"Life will go on without the NFL. Something else will take your place. Much like MLB. Keep biting the hand that feeds you."
-- Joe - FAN of the Indianapolis Colts - Blame both equally.

"the blame falls on both sides being greedy about the almighty $ and that just sickens me. the game of football is supposed to be enjoyed and not to be the embaressment of all sports to date. in the end, the power of money rules."
-- Todd - FAN of the Dallas Cowboys

"While I do feel that both parties are to blame at this point, the owners are the ones that opted out of the CBA early and they are the ones asking for more money without justification. Regardless of the blame, I want football on Sunday afternoons. When we lost the Browns, at least I could still watch football. This is going to really suck if there is no football! C'mon you guys...I got an idea...screw the extra million you are arguing about and give it back to the fans! We're the ones that support your Millions upon Billions of dollars anyway!"
-- Dan - FAN of the Cleveland Browns - Blame the owners more.

"Football is the last professional sport I follow. I have given up on MLB, the NHL and the NBA. In reality, the NFL is just another form of entertainment and I can enjoy myself as much on Sunday afternoons in the Fall by going hunting. I have followed the NFL for more than 50 years, but if I have to, I can enjoy myself without it. MY SUNDAYS WILL BE SPENT IN CHURCH AND HUNTING THIS FALL IF THERE IS ONE MISSED GAME! "
-- John - FAN of the Indianapolis Colts - Blame the owners more.

"Let the year start already!"
-- Donald - FAN of the New England Patriots - Blame the players more.

"Stupid ... stupid ... stupid! If it weren't for the owners there would be no teams. If it weren't for the players there would be no teams. If it weren't for the fans ... there would be no owners OR players. So stop being whiny crybaby little bitches and settle this shit! Here is the easiest way since neither of you are worth shit without the other one. Split everything 50/50. Was that so hard? Hell, I didn't even need a high priced lawyer to figure that out. Stop being dumb-asses and lets play some football."
-- CKHOUSTON - FAN of the Houston Texans - Blame both equally.

"This is really getting just overall really frustrating and annoying! Kiss and make up all ready and get on with football! I'll be here working and earning for the money your fighting over!"
